Talk on Pain Management by Alan Ross, MD, Physiatrist

February 17, 5:30 pm

Location: The Community Room, Penobscot Bay YMCA, 116 Union St., Rockport, ME 04856

Alan Ross, MD, treats people with physical disabilities or pain problems. He sees himself as a guide and a helper for people who are active participants in their healing work. His goal is for his clients to live life to its full potential. Dr. Ross specializes in Physiatry: medical rehabilitation of problems with muscles, bones, and nerves. Rather than focusing on a single organ system, the unifying concept of Physiatry is to Improve Function. Any illness, injury, or condition that limits the ability to perform everyday activities could be addressed by a Physiatrist. Examples of conditions that are treated by a Physiatrist are: headache; neck pain; upper back and low back pain; fibromyalgia; myofascial pain; joint pain; foot pain, and many other kinds of pain problems.

ReConnective Therapy Group Treatment

February 15, 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Location: Start Center

Treatments with Reconnective Therapy (RCT) happen through resonance. This means that the practitioner provides certain frequencies in his or her body that the body of the client can resonate to, therefore facilitating the reconnections between the energy body and the physical body. Once the resonance effect becomes strong enough, the connections cross over. When these connections are reestablished, information and energy become available to the dysfunctional areas, and the body can restore itself to proper structure and function. This occurs in the physical body, and in the related emotional and mental structures.
The wonderful benefit of group treatments is that, through the resonance effect, everyone in the room can pick up on every treatment if the body decides that it needs it. This means that if I do ten treatments in a group, every person present can get as many as ten treatments.
