Steve integrates holistic protocols in his practice including the following:
- 150+ herbal dispensary of bulk herbs, extracts, oils, and salves.
- Nutrient Dense Food Counseling
- Food Sensitivity testing
- Educating and Empowering Clients to Know the Herbs, Grow the Herbs, Heal with the Herbs
Steve views the person as a whole, understanding the interconnectedness of the body, mind, spirit and also "the gut" where much of the immune system and neurotransmitter production exists. Gut healing protocols are important components in increasing the effectiveness of the herbal preparations and other efforts made by the client. Once digestive issues are resolved, other layers are able to accelerate in their resolution. As Hippocrates, the father of medicine once said, "All diseases begin in the gut".
EDUCATION AND WORKSHOPS
Steve offers medicinal plant walks, healing garden and edible plant consultations.
"Integrating people and plants"
Since the age of 10, Steve Byers has been studying medicinal plants. He has studied Western Herbalism, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Cherokee Traditional Medicine with herbalists around the northeast. While studying over 300 medicinal herbs, his focus is on regional botanicals that provide the most locally abundant and accessible medicine available.
Steve is a teacher at heart. He loves sharing the wisdom and science of medicinal plants and has taught classes, medicinal plant walks, and therapeutic workshops up and down the east coast. Steve is focused on making health and wellness options available to all and believes that integrating herbal medicine into our health journey increases our connection to the medicine from the land that makes our body, mind, and spirit whole, vibrant, and resilient.
