The focus of my practice is to help people obtain optimal health. I practice Bowenwork Therapy, Therapeutic Massage and Reflexology. Bowenwork Therapy is a holistic, gentle and effective manual therapy in which light, non-invasive movements penetrate to a deep cellular level. The combination and placement of the moves balances and stimulates energy flows and allows toxins and old patterns to release. Messages are sent to the central nervous system to "reset" and create homeostasis, allowing the body to heal itself. Pain disappears when the cause is identified and eliminated. Bowenwork is completely safe and can be performed on anyone. Since healing occurs through changes in the central nervous system, it can affect every aspect of your body, including muscular tension, misalignments, lymphatic flow, internal conditions, and psychological state of mind. It even helps to soften scar tissue. Treatments take from a few minutes to an hour, depending on the individual person. Three- to five-sessions one week apart are usually all that are required for most sports injuries, work-related injuries, and problems brought about by long-term use. Changes continue to happen throughout the week.

I attended the Downeast School of Massage in Waldoboro, Maine in 1997. Upon graduation, I opened my own practice out of my home in Saint George, Maine. I also did medical massage in a chiropractic office in Camden for six years after which I moved my office to 1 Country Way in Camden. I split my time between my two locations.
I am a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) and I am Nationally Certified. I love to learn and have attended a long and wide variety of continuing education classes. My initial training was in Swedish and Sports Massage. I have advance study in Orthopedic, Medical, Myofascial, Facial Rejuvenation and European Stone Massage and many different techniques in deep tissue. Although my work is more on the physical realm, I have also learned Reiki and CranioSacral Therapy. Even though I don’t practice Reiki and CranioSacral, I know their many benefits and when they are appropriate, I refer out when I see a need. I became a certified Reflexologist in 2006. I have studied another alternative therapy called Bowenwork and became a Certified Professional Practitioner in 2005 and completed advanced study in 2013.
